helpful preparation tips
colour
Your edits look best when wearing neutral colours that set you apart from the background. Avoid hot pink and lime green.
Think black, white, cream, denim and earthy tones
texture
Add texture and dimension with chunky knit sweaters, textured shirts or long "flowing" dresses.
For every 3 people in your photo, aim for at least 1 textured piece
patterns
Wear small patterns in earth tones; avoid busy, large patterns or logos that will blend in or distract with the background.
Think small floral prints or plaid
layers
Layers add a warm & cozy vibe and create depth in your photographs.
Think cardigans, blankets and unbuttoned/layered jean or plaid shirts
contrast
Create contrast in group photo wardrobe selection- if some are wearing white tops, others may consider wearing black tops etc. This helps draw a clear distinction between the subjects (people) in each photo.

Notes About Wardrobe
Your wardrobe has a big impact on the look and feel of your images. When considering outfit selection, think about the overall "mood" you are going for. If you are drawn to images that have a warmer appearance (brown, golden, yellow), select outfits with shades of brown, dark orange or dark green as a base colour. If you are drawn to cool tones and a brighter feel, select simple, solid (or small patterned), pieces such as black and white or denim. Seasonal changes (ex: lush spring greenery vs. bare trees and golden grass in the fall) will also effect the overall look of your images.
