Shima & Jon's Wind-Swept Paradise Canyon Wedding in Lethbridge, Alberta
There is something incredibly special about celebrating your wedding surrounded by the people who know and love you most. For Shima and Jon, that meant gathering 100 of their closest friends and family at Paradise Canyon Golf Resort in Lethbridge, Alberta, for a day filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and stunning Southern Alberta scenery.
Nestled among the coulees overlooking the Oldman River Valley, Paradise Canyon provided the perfect backdrop for their wedding day. The sweeping golf course views, dramatic landscapes, and warm summer atmosphere created an unforgettable setting for their celebration.
The day was relaxed and joyful from start to finish. Surrounded by their favorite people, Shima and Jon exchanged vows before heading into an evening of great food, heartfelt speeches, and meaningful conversations. Guests enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner while taking in the beautiful views that Paradise Canyon is known for.
One of my favorite parts of the day was sneaking away for bridal portraits at the top of Paradise Canyon. Southern Alberta is famous for its wind, and on this day, it certainly made its presence known. Instead of fighting against it, Shima and Jon embraced every moment. The wind added movement to Shima's dress and veil, creating romantic, dramatic images that perfectly captured the energy and emotion of the day. These quiet moments together allowed Shima and Jon to pause, soak in the reality of being newly married, and enjoy a few peaceful minutes away from the excitement of the celebration.
Throughout the day, it was clear how deeply loved these two are. From emotional hugs with family members to laughter shared among lifelong friends, every part of their wedding reflected the strong community that surrounds them. Shima and Jon's wedding was a beautiful reminder that the best wedding days aren't about perfection—they're about connection. It's about gathering your favorite people in one place, celebrating your love story, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
