At The Venue Of New Hope Wedding Venue, Diamond City Alberta
The Venue of New Hope is a hidden gem when it comes to Southern Alberta wedding venues. Located just 15 minutes outside of Lethbridge, this seasonal space is a great setting for a large or intimate wedding. I have photographed here a few times, and would love to shine a little light on this sweet spot while recommending my favourite aspects of the venue from a Lethbridge Wedding Photographers perspective.
ABOUT
The Venue of New Hope offers 2400 square feet of event space and comes complete with a kitchen and coffee bar. The total number of guests this space accommodates is 150 and tables and chairs are included. The Venue works with my favourite decor and rental company (Lethbridge Event Rentals) often, and has several styling recommendations should you wish to add rentals and decor to elevate the space. You are also free to bring in your own vendors and have flexible rental hours here.

Lives at this unassuming Southern Alberta wedding venue. Seriously, I could photograph you and your spouse in front of this soft glow for hours - and I just might. The dramatic mid day lighting and stunning backdrop of this small nook in the venue brings beautiful, romantic portraits to life.
the interior barn
The main event space of the interior barn can accommodate a large ceremony or reception. For the best lighting at your ceremony, an outdoor ceremony is encouraged if the weather is cooperating, as there is limited natural light in this space. However, if you particularly enjoy dark and moody photography, an indoor ceremony might be up your alley!
the flower cooler
The Venue is also a small nursery where floral design is a key aspect of this small business. In the interior barn there is a beautiful red flower cooler, that acts as a great portrait backdrop.
the garden centre
Is a covered patio area at the back of the venue, boasting beautiful natural light, a small romantic bridge and pond area as well as fresh growing florals. A stop by this foot bridge is a must for a few romantic portraits.

Natural light meets charming exterior backdrop in this unassuming area of the venue.

This area provides a seating area for getting ready pictures or cozy portraits. It overlooks the Garden Centre and provides a pop of natural light.

First dance? YES. This area offers a mixture of natural light and soft, romantic interior lighting.
This is also the best spot for your alter if you are preforming an indoor ceremony, for the best access to natural lighting in the venue.

ONE
The Venue of New Hope is a seasonal wedding venue and does not have heating or air conditioning.
TWO
Floral design can easily be added onto your booking here, as they have a fully functioning garden centre and the venue owner is a fantastic florist!
THREE
Indoor ceremony recommendations are important here - to make sure you have a natural lighting source. Speak to your photographer when coordinating your indoor ceremony location for the best outcomes.
Additional photo ops here include the pond and boat, which may be used upon request - as well as the surrounding fields on the property for a second location feel.
