not your average backyard wedding
Crowsnest Pass, Alberta is located in Southwest Alberta and features some of the most beautiful, open valley views of the infamous Canadian Rocky Mountains. Coleman is a small area a few kilometers away from the historic Frank Slide and Lundbreck Falls (two must see locations on your way through the Pass) where Jenna + Maxwell shared a sweet intimate ceremony last Saturday. The ceremony site was especially sentimental as they plan to build their future home in the exact location where they both said "I Do"!
the bridal party
J + M opted for a beautiful mid-green theme colour which both complimented and embodied the surrounding beauty of the Rocky Mountains. This gang was super fun and up for just about anything! The gentlemen's crisp white shirts paired with suspenders and bow ties was a timeless and fun twist on traditional groomsman attire.
secondary location
We headed out to the Coleman Creek Bridge for both intimate bridal portraits and bridal party portraits - which made the perfect location to capture the beautiful fields, forest and mountains. The bridge is a fabulous option for both fun and romantic shots. With so many jaw dropping spaces in the Pass, you can't go wrong!
sentimental details
In addition to their romantic and personal ceremony location, this sweet couple incorporated so many sentimental moments in their big day. From the family tradition of Apricot Brandy shots, to the details on Jenna's bouquet - this day was planned around family tradition and heritage.
the food
Plated dinner? Catered buffet? Forget about it.
J+M opted for a homestyle pig roast which took a whole host of enthusiastic guests to pull off. Everyone loved watching and checking in on the pig as it roasted with the best view on earth. Another sweet, community focused touch that they added to their intimate day! As a Southern Alberta wedding photographer, I can say these small and fun details are what I hunt for on your day - the love, the small moments, the belly laughs - what could be better then adding unique and personal details that make your day feel like YOU?
